Another Flake

Here's a fuzzy picture of my efforts for today: a Jan Stawasz design. The tatting community lost a great member in him. I love the way this design swirls.

I was looking for a snowflake that he designed, and could not find one, can I ask where you found the pattern?
Lovely snowflakes

Margaret, I counted (and guessed) the stitches on the picture that Fox posted of a piece of tatting Jan included with some shuttles that she had ordered from him. I'm not sure if he ever published a pattern for this design. I was a little worried about tatting it without actually having bought a pattern, but there is a page on his website that indicates it's ok to copy his work as long as you give credit to him for it, which of course I did and will always do. Here's the page: http://www.frywolitka.slupsk.pl/index_en.php?id=_piracy
And here's Fox's post with the picture:

If you want the stitch counts I used, let me know!

I found the pattern it's part of the waistcoat in his second book, which I have, when you said Fox tatted it and sent it to you that was the clue as to where the pattern was from. The waistcoat is made up with all motifs joined to together, if you have his book it's on page 23.
You did a lovely job with it.

Oh good! I thought it probably wasn't a snowflake originally. Works well as one though.
